Gerry L Calvert

 

Gerry Calvert has maintained his own law practice since 1965. The practice is focused in the areas of business and corporate counsel, selected litigation matters, estates, trusts, and personal injury and accidents. 

Gerry graduated from the University of Kentucky, where he played basketball under Adolph Rupp from 1954 through 1957. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1958, and his Master's in 1959, Gerry was employed as a high school and junior high school teacher, basketball coach, and a baseball coach at Nicholas County, MMI, Pleasure Ridge Park, and Fern Creek High School. While teaching in the Jefferson County school system, Gerry attended and graduated from the University of Louisville College of Law, attaining his Bachelor of Laws/ Juris Doctor degree in 1965. He was a member of the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity.

Gerry was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1965, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 6th Circuit.

Gerry and his wife, Cathy, live in Lexington and attend Christ the King Cathedral.
